Brightness does not work after downloading the new Windows 8.1 (ATIV Book 8)

I have the Samsung Ativ Book 8 and I have just installed the new Windows 8.1.
It is not an old computer at all and all of my Fn keys work except my brightness.
I have tried going to settings to adjust the brightness manually but that still did not respond.
I also tried calibrating the color display and that still was not it.
Please help.
