Running Windows 7.
 
HP Support Assistant indicated that 'Windows System Restore is Not Enabled'. 
Took recommended repair action & received message: 'System Restore Has Been Enabled'.
 
Attempted to Open System Restore, but access was denied.
 Msg: 'No Restore Points have been created' (all my Restore Points had disappeared!).
 
Attempted to Create a New Restore Point & had msg: 'The Restore Point Could Not Be Created because the specified object was not found (0x80042308)'.
