ACROBAT CRASHES when PRINTING

Hi,
I've just reinstalled Adobe ACROBAT v.8 for VISTA
When I double click and PDF file it opens fine.
When I go to print the file.
And as soon as press print.
I get a crash and asks me to restart the program.

On the other hand I have a work around.
When I open Acrobat from the programs menu first and then
Open the pdf file afterwards
then the file will print fine

The error message you posted is related to Adobe version 9.0.0.332 according to your post.
You stated you reinstalled and are using version 8.

I would make sure that any version you ARE NOT using is uninstalled so that your PDFs asscociate themselves to the correct version.
It looks like you may be having version conflict.

What version are you launching from the start menu?

To check for Windows updates

Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Update.
