Aero Snap does not work with mouse pointer, although keyboard shortcuts work fine.________

Mouse actuated aero snap worked fine at first but no longer does.
Have tried various fixes including those in "Answers".
Suspect that problem is in the registry but don't know all of the keys (and their settings) that can effect mouse control of aero snap.
Is there a source for this info?

Aero Snap is not something I really bother with, I'm not fully understanding of your problem so excuse my response if irrelevant.

When I drag a window to the left of the screen with a left clicked Mouse it wont stay there and take up half the screen unless the window takes a "Select All" type of appearance and goes a shade of light blue.  This doesn't happen until the edge of the window
is well beyond the edge of the screen and the Mouse Cursor touches the screen edge.  If I release the Mouse at that point the window positions itself with the left boundary on the left edge of the screen and takes up half the screen.

Have you checked with another type of Mouse, or at least a different Mouse?

Machine Throttling

• Click the Start button.
• In the Search box, type "regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter.
• Look for the following registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions".
• On the right window pane, delete the subkey: "Machine Throttling".
• Reboot your computer.
