i am running windows 7x64 and 32bit internet explorer wont let me access internet while 64-bit version will.instant messenger wont work either.firewall does not seem to be issue

Have you ever been able to access Internet Via 32bit Internet Explorer (IE)?

If such is the case, optimizing IE could help.

Follow the methods below to do the same.
Method 1: Use the Manage Add-ons tool to determine which add-on is causing the issue

1.    Use the Manage Add-ons tool in Internet Explorer to individually disable each add-on to determine which add-on is causing errors.
To do this, follow these steps: Open Internet Explorer 8.
2.    Click Tools, and then click Manage Add-ons.
3.    On the Show drop-down menu, select All add-ons to display all add-ons that are installed on the computer.
4.    For each item in this list, select the add-on, and then click Disable in the Information window.
5.    When you have disabled all the items in this list, click OK.
6.    Exit and then restart Internet Explorer.
7.    If issues do not reoccur, repeat steps 1 through 3.
8.    Click Enable for a single add-on.
9.    Repeat steps 6 through 8 until you determine which add-on causes errors to occur.

After you have used this process to determine which add-on is causing errors, you can disable that add-on.
Or, you can uninstall the software that installs the add-on.
If Method 1 doesn’ t help, follow Method 2.

Method 2: Reset Internet Explorer settings
To determine whether a performance issue or an error message is caused by configuration settings, reset Internet Explorer to its default configuration.

After a reset, all previous settings are lost and cannot be recovered.

If, however you’ve never been to browse via Internet Explorer 32-bit, I’d suggest getting the latest driver updates.
Downloading latest driver path seems to have resolved this issue for many other users.
Please check if there’s any driver patch available for
your model.

1. Go to Start button.
2. Open Control Panel.
3. Go to Windows Error Reporting.
4. Click on System and Maintenance, then click Problem Reports and Solutions.
5. Next, click Change Settings located on the left side panel of the Problem Reports and Solutions window.
6. Select an option to configure how you want Windows to look for a solution to your problems. You may allow Windows to do it automatically or ask you every time to check if problem occurs.
7. Next, click the Advanced settings link.
8. Select Off to turn off Error Reporting.
